OUR PRODUCT LIST:

Bulk Explosives

A chemical formula of NH4NO3 used as an oxidizing agent in explosives, it is not itself an explosive and comes in various forms, categorized into the following basic types: Low Density Ammonium Nitrate (“LDAN”) and High Density Ammonium Nitrate (“HDAN”).

LDAN and HDAN are widely used in open pit coal, gold and quarry mining operations as one of the crucial raw material to conduct blasting and remove overburden. The uses of LDAN are predominantly for dry holes. Whereas HDAN is used in wetter holes as it mixes with used oil, becoming an emulsion.

MEXIS procures LDAN and HDAN globally as well as locally and delivers to your doorsteps based on the required schedule. Both form of ammonium nitrate may be packaged in 25 kg bags, 1,000 kg bags, 1,200 kg bas and 1,250 kg bags. Learn more

Initiation Systems

A detonator is a device that is used to trigger / initiate an explosive device. Detonators can be chemically, mechanically or electrically initiated, the latter to be the most common. They are categorized in the following types: Electric Detonator, Electronic Detonators and Non-electric Detonator, collectively: Initiation systems (IS).

Booster

An explosive booster acts as a bridge between a low energy explosive and a low sensitivity (but typically high energy) explosive, such as TNT. It increases the explosive shockwave from an initiating explosive to the degree sufficient to detonate the secondary charge. The product range for booster varies from 150 gr, 500 gr and 600 gr.

Packaged Explosives

It is water in oil emulsion consisting of a discontinuous, supersaturated aqueous oxidizer phase and a continuous fuel phase containing hydrocarbon fuels, waxes and emulsifiers. The water-resistant emulsion is packaged into plastic sleeves of variable dimension. The emulsion has a firm putty-like consistency and plastic sleeve is filled with emulsion and sealed on each end with an aluminum clip. Packaged Explosives are suitable for hard rock mining.

Seismic Explosives

Unlike typical explosives in mining to break rocks, seismic explosives are used to identify and detect oil and gas through capturing acoustic energy. By creating an explosion at certain depths, seismic waves are recorded either by seismometer, hydrophone (in water) or accelerometer.

Shaped Charges (Oil & Gas)

An explosive charge that is shaped to focus the effect of the explosive’s energy to complete wells in the oil and gas industry, in which they are detonated to perforate the metal casing of the well at certain intervals to admit the influx of oil and gas.

Managing supply chain and inventory in Indonesia is a paramount factor to ensure ease of delivery to the respective sites. Strategic location of warehousing facility, professional handling service and good housekeeping plays a critical role in conducting an effective, safe and efficient process.

Bati-bati, South Kalimantan

Our magazine estate in South Kalimantan is 35 minutes away from the Syamsudin Noor airport, Banjarmasin. It consists of three structures to store 2,500 MT of ammonium nitrate, 200 tons of dynamite and 200,000 pieces of detonator respectively. Typically, explosives are discharged via Banjarmasin’s Trisakti port and stored in our facility. Bati-bati is in close proximity to Batu Licin, Tanjung, Sungai Danau, Satui and Tapin mine sites. Supply chain and logistics in Indonesia particularly, proves as a challenging one. Only a handful of companies – commercial explosives transport license awarded by the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia – have the right capabilities in conducting professional handling services.

MEXIS works diligently with a chosen and experienced licensed transporter from vessel and/or barge selection, trucking selection, custom clearance, supporting equipment usages (forklift, trailer trucks, cranes), appointing an independent surveyor and working with the right local labor unions to ensure safe and efficient handling process.
